North Central Workforce Development with new legislative funding from the Workforce Development Board under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) is providing Career Services and Work Experience opportunities throughout the six county region to youth, ages 16-24. In Elk County, Tressa Harlan has been working as an Administrative support staff at the North Central Pennsylvania Regional Planning Commission learning computer skills, data entry, reports, and operating office equipment. Tressa’s interest is furthering her education in the computer science field. Along with the paid work experience, Tressa Harlan has also been afforded the opportunity to network with professionals as she explores her career options.
