Monday, Sept. 12
•The St. Marys Area School District Board of Directors will meet on Monday, Sept. 12 at 7 p.m. in the high school library.
•The St. Marys Public Library board meeting will take place Sept. 12.

Tuesday, Sept. 13
•St. Marys Catholic Elementary School Open House is taking place Sept. 13 from 6-8 p.m.
•The St. Marys Public Library will host "1,2,3, Play with Me" on Sept. 13 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. This social play group is for children ages four and under and their parents. Local early intervention and literacy agencies will be at the program for parents to ask questions about their child’s development.
•The St. Marys Public Library Book Club meets Tuesday, Sept. 13 at 6:30 p.m. This month's book of choice is "Traitor's Wife" by Allison Pataki.

Wednesday, Sept. 14
•The St. Marys Chamber’s Annual Golf Outing is coming up on September 14 at Bavarian Hills. Want to see your team’s name on the Corporate Cup? Get in on the fun and get registered today! You could be taking this home with you for the next year. In addition, one lucky golfer will walk away with two club seats to the October 1 Penn State vs. Minnesota game courtesy of Gerg Insurance Agency - Allstate. Thursday, Sept. 15
•A sensory friendly movie showing of the "Minions" for guests and families living with autism or other special needs is being held Sept. 15 at 6 p.m. at the St. Marys Public Library. As part of the showing the lights will be turned up, and the sound turned down so people can stand up, dance, walk, shout and sing. Feel free to bring snacks. Movie running time is 91 minutes.
•North Central Pennsylvania Regional Planning and Development Commission and the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development are working in partnership with the United States Department of Commerce in Pittsburgh, the Clarion Small Business Development Center and the North Central Workforce Development to host "Bringing the World to PA" 2016. This year's event will offer opportunities for you to meet with up to 15 different countries that have representatives on the tour. There is no charge for this event and breakfast and lunch will be provided. "Bringing the world to PA" is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 15 starting at 8:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. at The Red Fern in Kersey. Friday, Sept. 16
•The Bavarian Fall Fest begins Sept. 16 in downtown St. Marys. It continues throughout the weekend, Sept. 17 and 18.
•The Elk County Catholic High School Alumni Association will hold its September Alumni Mass on Friday, Sept. 16 at 9:05 a.m. at ECCHS. All graduates of Central High School and Elk County Christian/Catholic High School are invited to attend and celebrate with the students, faculty and staff. The Mass intention this month will be for the classes of 1931 and 1976. Breakfast will be served immediately following in the cafeteria.

Saturday, Sept. 17
•The annual "Sounds of Autumn" Band competition will take place on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 2 p.m. at Dutch Country Stadium. Participating is Brockway, Dubois, Tyrone, Seneca, Westmont Hilltop, Elk County Catholic and St. Marys Area. Guest performances are by the Grey Knight Sr. Drum & Bugle Corps and the IUP Marching Band. Food and refreshments will be available. The event is sponsored by the St. Marys Area Band Parents Association and the ECC Band Parents Association
•The 23rd annual Elk Co. Youth Field Day will be held on Saturday, Sept. 17 at the St. Marys Sportsmen’s Club in Flower Valley. This free event is open to all youths, age 10-14, who will participate in eight different events throughout the day from 8:30 a.m.-4:30pm. Lunch is served at noon to all participants, including the over 100 volunteers and parents. All participants receive a hat, a t-shirt and a chance to win one of the numerous prizes at the end of the day. Registration is free as there is no cost to anyone due to great support from throughout the county. To register call the St. Marys Area Chamber of Commerce at 781-3804 for an application. The registration period is from August 1-September 2nd and space is limited so early registration is recommended. As parents are not permitted to accompany their kids to the events, there are programs scheduled for the adults.
•Kinzua Bridge State Park in Mt. Jewett is hosting a Fall Festival on Saturday, Sept. 17 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. The event features 98 vendors, apple cidering, cone dipping and live music. Stop in at the new visitors center.
•Parker Dam is partnering with the U.S. Army Reserve, 442nd Quartermaster Unit and local merchants to provide participants a free, 24-hour, modern-day experience modeled after the original Civilian Conservation Corps of the 1930s and early 1940s. The program begins Friday, Sept. 16 at 6 p.m. and ends Saturday, Sept. 17, at 6 p.m. During the 24 hours, participants can spend a “day-in the-life” of the original CCC enrollees, experiencing some of the same aspects of camp life. Participants in this free CCC Encampment program must pre-register and the number of participants is limited.  Preference will be given to first-time "enrollees" and those registrants who have participated previously will be placed on a waiting list.  To register, please call the Park Office at (814) 765-0630, or email parkerdamsp@pa.gov
