As widespread debates continue in the wake of the recent presidential election, St. Marys Area High School District has found itself in the mix.
During Monday evening's St. Marys Area School District Board of Directors meeting, Dan Bankovic inquired about implementing a policy prohibiting political activity by employees while acting as a teacher.
He explained several teachers have expressed views on partisan terms, some during classroom instruction and assignments.
Jim Wortman, supervisor of curriculum, instruction and assessment, said teachers are prohibited from making political comments in the classroom.
