Interviews were held for two positions in the St. Marys Area School District on Tuesday evening during a special meeting.
A lengthy interview session took place in the high school library where the board met with four candidates for the special education teacher position and 11 candidates for the special education liaison.
A decision on hiring the personnel was tabled until next month's board meeting.
Details about public membership to the high school's new fitness center were briefly discussed. Numerous memberships will soon be available ranging from $150/year for a regular membership to $50/year for alumni, students, and military and $25/year for senior citizens.
The gym will only be open for public use for a limited timespan, weeknights from 5-8 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. until noon. School athletics teams, students and district staff will have first priority use of the gym.
