Donna Rae McGill, 68, of Willow Street, Johnsonburg, died early Monday, April 8, 2013 at home following a lengthy illness.
She was born Jan. 3, 1945 in Ridgway daughter of the late Raymond and Florence (Rosetto) Blashock. She married James McGill on June 25, 1967, he survives.
Mrs. McGill was a graduate of Johnsonburg High School. She was an owner/operator, with her husband, of Jim's Tavern of Johnsonburg and continued as cook with the Kopper Kettle Restaurant. She also had private daycare from her home for 13 years. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking, her family, caring for children, shopping and trips to the ocean. She lived all her life in Johnsonburg.
Besides her husband, she is survived by four children, Timothy (Julie) McGill of York, Shelley McGill and her partner Angel Perez of Johnsonburg, Raymond (Nicole) McGill of Stephens City, Va. and Cheryl (Michael) Yost of Johnstown; 11 grandchildren; two brothers, Thomas (Rebecca) Blashock of Indiana and Raymond Blashock of Lawton, Okla.; and one sister, Peggy (George) Quillivan of Huntsville, Ala.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 12, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Johnsonburg with Father David Wilson as celebrant. Interment will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
