William A. "Birdseed" Myers

William A. "Birdseed" Myers, 59, of Pinecrest Manor, St. Marys, formerly of 320 Mill St., Johnsonburg died on Tuesday evening, Oct. 1, 2013, at Elk Regional Health Center in St. Marys following a lengthy illness.
He was born on June 15, 1954 in Johnsonburg, son of the late Wallace "Wally" and Lorna Amory Myers.
He lived in Johnsonburg all his life and graduated from Johnsonburg High School in 1973.
He was a member of the Johnsonburg United Methodist Church, Johnsonburg Fire Department for 41 years, and Tri-County Firemen's Association, Central District.
He was employed by New York & Pennsylvania Co., Willamette, Weyerhauser, and Domtar for the past 40 years.
He is survived by three sisters, Sandy Rhodes of Johnsonburg, Susan Mahaney of Johnsonburg, and Marsha, Mrs. Robert Skraba of Ridgway; two brothers, David R. Myers and his wife Regina of Johnsonburg, and Glenn Myers and his partner Kewal of Willow Wick, Ohio; eight nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to his parents and grandparents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sally Myers.
A Funeral Service for William A. "Birdseed" Myers will be conducted at the Johnsonburg United Methodist Church on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 10 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Jay Tennies, Pastor.
Interment will be in Wardvale Methodist Cemetery, Johnsonburg.
Friends will be received at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg, on Friday evening from 5-8 p.m.
