Willard J. "Willy" Kennedy, Jr.

Willard J. "Willy" Kennedy, Jr., 57, of Jacksonville, N.C and formerly of Johnsonburg, died on May 6, 2013 due to an automobile accident.
He was born on Aug. 12, 1955 in Ridgway, the son of Willard J. "Buster" Kennedy, Sr. and Constance A. (Simchick) Kennedy.
Willy had been a life long resident of Johnsonburg until the last few years in which he had resided in North Carolina. A 1974 graduate of Johnsonburg Area High School, he was also a member of the Holy Rosary Church in Johnsonburg. He was a proud member of AA and NA for more than 20 years.
He had formerly been employed at Penntech Papers and Constables of Johnsonburg. Willy was also a self-employed painter.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by three children Willard "Willie" Kennedy,, David "DJ" Kennedy and Rachel Kennedy, all of Ridgway. He is also survived by six grandchildren; one sister, Linda Winter of Johnsonburg and two brothers, Douglas E. Kennedy and Joseph E. Kennedy of Johnsonburg. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation for Willard J. "Willy" Kennedy, Jr. A Memorial Service will be held on May 14, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the Holy Rosary Church in Johnsonburg with Fr. David Wilson.
