Wilcox Legion edges Fox 4-3 on MacDonald walk-off single

June 22, 2014

Locked in a tight game Sunday night, the Wilcox American Legion baseball team loaded the bases with no outs in the fifth inning but came up empty while facing a one-run deficit against Fox Township.
Ben MacDonald wouldn't let his team make the same mistake twice.
With the bases loaded with two outs in the home half of the seventh, MacDonald smacked a Caleb Bennett offering into left center field to score pinch runner Jacob Zimmerman and Cole Peterson for the 4-3 walk-off come-from-behind win over Fox Township.
