Violet E. Breakey

Violet E. Breakey, 86, of Elk Haven Nursing Home in St. Marys died on Wednesday evening, April 3, 2013 at Elk Haven following a lengthy illness.
She was born on October 19, 1915 in Ridgway to Swedish immigrants Otto and Lilly Larson Magnuson.
She married Donald M. Breakey in September of 1956. He died in 1965.
Mrs. Breakey resided in Johnsonburg most of her life. She had lived in Silver Creek Terrace for two years and Elk Haven for the past two years. She attended Ridgway High School. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Johnsonburg where she taught Sunday school and the Johnsonburg Senior Center. She loved spending time with her family, reading and writing poetry.
She was employed by Willamette Industries, Johnsonburg Mill for 25 years, retiring in 1989
Mrs. Breakey is survived by two sons Mark D. Breakey and his wife Laurie of Clearfield and Curtis E. Breakey and his wife Jackie of Johnsonburg and five grandchildren Lindsay Breakey, Nichole Powers, Kate Powers and Ian and Donnie Breakey.
She is predeceased by her parents, husband, brothers Astor, Roy and Donald Magnuson and sisters Nora Gormont and Sigrid Tichner.
Friends and family of Violet E. Breakey are invited to attend a funeral service to be conducted at St. John's Lutheran Church in Johnsonburg on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 11 a.m. Officiating will be Pastor Stephen Fair
Interment will take place at Wardvale Methodist Cemetery in Johnsonburg.
There will be no visitation.
Arrangements are under direction of the Anthony F Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut Street Johnsonburg, Pa.
