Over the past few months, the Elk County Catholic Crusader baseball team has racked up an impressive 26-0 record and has one final game remaining in their season–the PIAA Class A State Championship on Friday afternoon.
Though only nine players can be out on the field at any given time, reaching this point and maintaining a perfect record has taken the effort of all 20 of the players on the Crusaders' roster.
ECC head coach Fr. Eric Vogt remarked that while it has occasionally been challenging to make sure that each player gets to spend some time on the field, that difficulty has been helped by the fact that the players all support one another.
