Two-car collision in Ridgway

According to eyewitness reports, Richard Pratt, 42, was stopped at the light at the bottom of Montmorenci Road in Ridgway early Sunday evening at when he heard brakes screeching behind him. His 2008 Chevy Silverado pickup was rear-ended by a 2002 Mazda Tribute driven by a known 19-year-old. According to reports, the Mazda had swerved to avoid the Chevy, but both back ends collided, leaving the Mazda's tailgate hanging from the truck's. The car then proceeded about a quarter mile down Gillis Avenue to the SAMI building's parking lot. The Ridgway Fire Department and the Ridgway-based Pa. State Police were on the scene.
