Thomas John McGill

Thomas John McGill, 68, of Gardner Hill, Weedville died suddenly on Wednesday, June 26, 2013. 
He was born February 17, 1945 in St. Marys, son of the late Aloysius McGill and Mary Piccolo McGill Reed.
He was a graduate of St. Marys High School and was in the Air Force during Vietnam. He was an avid Penn State Fan, enjoyed the outdoors, and loved watching his grandchildren play sports.
He is survived by his two children, Mrs. Robert (Mary) Pecht of Gardner Hill and Regina McGill of Kersey; two step-children, David Stahl and wife Leslie of Brockway and Mrs. Daniel (Cheryl) Good of RD Punxsutawney; nine grandchildren; three brothers, Anthony and wife Marie McGill of St. Marys, Richard and wife Mary McGill of Tennessee, and William McGill of Tennessee; and a sister, Judy Haines of Tennessee.
Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Joseph McGill; a sister, Mary Johnson; and a step-daughter, Cynthia Orange.
A memorial service for Thomas John McGill will be held on Friday, June 28 at the Kersey Methodist Church at 11 a.m. with Pastor Joni Williams officiating.
There will be no public visitation.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home, Penfield.
