Teresa M. “Tessie” Schlimm

Teresa M. “Tessie” Schlimm, 86, a resident of Pinecrest Manor the past two years and formerly of 113 Gypsy Rd. (Highland Park) died Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at Pinecrest Manor.
She was born June 23, 1927 in St. Marys, daughter of the late Romayne E. and Mildred Bryndel Schaut. She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Class of 1945. She was a former employee of GTE Sylvania and also had worked as a home companion.
On Nov. 28, 1953 in the Sacred Heart Church, she married Charles G. Schlimm who preceded her in death on Jan. 13, 1976.
She is survived by three daughters, Mary Ann Schlimm of Nellysford, Va., Barbara Kroggel and her husband John E. of Three Rivers, Mich., and Amy Marshall of Linden, Va.; two sons, Charles E. Schlimm Jr. of Thornton, Colo. and Joseph E. Schlimm of Wichita, Kan.; three grandchildren, Emily Schlimm, Ben Schlimm, and Jeff Schlimm; three great-grandchildren, Anthony, Olivia, and Charlene; and by two sisters, Sister M. Romayne Schaut, OSB of Bristow, Va., and Gertrude Caruso and her husband James of St. Marys.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Edward, James, and Alfred Schaut.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial for Teresa M. “Tessie” Schlimm to be celebrated in the Sacred Heart Church on Monday, April 14, 2014, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Alfred Patterson, OSB, officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.

The Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
