Victor C. Straub, a retired U.S. Air Force Lt. Col., not only served as the master of ceremonies for Monday morning's Veterans Day Memorial Service on the Diamond but also took a few moments to offer a brief reflection on the meaning of Veterans Day during the program.
"Veterans Day is a day for more than simply remembering," Straub said. "It's a time for considering what our veterans of the nation's wars from the Revolution down to the present have meant to the preservation and enhancement of our national and individual freedom and independence."
