Following a Friday morning preliminary hearing Michael J. Stephanic Jr., 44, of St. Marys, will be held over for trial on charges he allegedly shot and killed June Talmadge, 48, during a Sept. 3 incident in the parking lot of Eastern Sintered Alloys.
Among the charges filed against Stephanic were criminal homicide, two felony counts of aggravated assault and a felony charge of discharge of a firearm into an occupied structure.
District Judge Mark Jacob found all charges have had burden of proof carried over in the case.
Four witnesses testified during the hearing. They were Eastern Sintered employees Robert Nissel of St. Marys, Brian Lehman of Kane, Jim Rocha of Ridgway and Patrolman Peter Largey of the St. Marys City Police, who responded to the crime.
