St. Marys 11-12 softball stars beat Warren 8-4

Photo by Jim Mulcahy St. Marys' Sydney Eckert is about to round third base and head for home as she had a two-run home run in the top half of the sixth inning of last night's District 10 Major League softball loser's bracket final against Warren played at Benzinger Park.

The St. Marys Little League Softball Major All Stars (11-12 year olds) advanced to the finals of the District 10 Major League Tournament with an 8-4 victory over the Warren squad Wednesday night at Benzinger Park.
St. Marys will now take on Punxsutawney tonight in the finals. St. Marys, the winners of the loser's bracket, must defeat Punxsy twice in order to win the District 10 crown. Tonight's game will start at 6 p.m. at a site to be determined.
