SMASD residents will see no tax increase with new budget

May 9, 2013

The St. Marys Area School District Board of Directors voted to approve the district's tentative 2013 budget which contains over $25 million in expenditures, but no tax increase to residents. According to Superintendent Ann Kearney, the vast majority of that $25 million figure comes in the form of increases in the district's contributions to health care costs and retirement funds.
