Sigmonda D. "Ziggy" Catalone

Sigmonda D. "Ziggy" Catalone, 81, of 319 Spring St., Emporium, died at Guy & Mary Felt Manor, Emporium, on Saturday morning, June 7, 2014.
She was born Nov. 10, 1932 in Force, a daughter of the late Stanley and Virginia Ritacheska Visneski.
On Nov. 6, 1954 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Force, she married Gabrielle "Paul" Catalone, who survives.
Mrs. Catalone graduated from the former Weedville High School. She retired from Motor Coil after 28 years of employment. Ziggy enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, playing cards, shopping, cooking and baking. She had an avid love for bingo. Years ago she bowled and played softball.
In addition to her husband, Gabrielle "Paul" Catalone, she is survived by four sons, Dave Catalone and his wife Marcia of Crosby, Ronnie Catalone and his wife Mary Ann of Emporium, Dale Catalone and his wife Debbie of Emporium, and Jerry Catalone and his wife Julie of Emporium; one daughter, Lisa, Mrs. David Brown of Emporium; 20 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter; and a brother, Walt Visneski and his wife Barb of Costello.
In addition to her parents, Stanley and Virginia Rickacheski Visneski, she is survived by one son, Donnie Catalone in December 1984; three brothers, Edward, Stan and Vince Visneski; and five sisters, Bertha Myers, Felchia Hoffman, Grace Berasi, Virginia Benevich and Theophila in infancy.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Sigmonda D. "Ziggy" Catalone will be celebrated at the St. Mark Catholic Church, 235 East Fourth St., Emporium, on Tuesday, June 10 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Paul S. Siebert, pastor, as celebrant.
Visitation with video tribute will be at the Barnett Funeral Home on Monday from 5-8 p.m.
Burial will be in the St. Mark Catholic Cemetery, Emporium.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Guy & Mary Felt Manor, 110 East 4th St., Emporium, Pa. 15834.
