Sheryl M. Himes, 67, of 185 Center St., Elk Towers, St. Marys, died Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at her residence.
She was born August 27, 1945, in Cleveland, Ohio, daughter of the late James and Shirley Rawley Hopkins.
On January 12, 1979, in Willoughby, Ohio, she married Narue W. Himes, and he survives.
She had resided in St. Marys since 2008. She attended schools in Wickliffe, Ohio. She was a former employee of the particle board plant in Mt. Jewett. She was a great mother and friend who always gave more than she had. She loved everyone and everything and never expected anything in return. She was a devoted and dedicated person and her family will all miss her. May God welcome her with open arms and tell her "Welcome home."
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Priscilla Himes and son-in-law Glen Miller of Ridgway; two sons, Brian Eskins of Willoughby, Ohio, and James and Heather Eskins of Willoughby, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Kerstin Eskins, Kelsey Eskins, Kerah Eskins, Kaylee Eskins, Morgan Himes, Ariel Miller, and Isabella Miller; and two sisters, Barbara Iaboni of Ohio and Michelle Falkenburg of Ohio; and longtime family friend Jimmy Jordan of St. Petersburg, Fla.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three sons, Alfred Eskins, John Eskins, and Narue Himes II.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service for Sheryl M. Himes to be held in the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Eric Vogt OSB, officiating.
There will be no visitation.
