Senior all-stars handed 5-1 setback by Montoursville

The St. Marys Little League Baseball Senior League All-Stars opened play in the Pa. State Tournament on Thursday afternoon at Showers Field in DuBois, taking on Section 3 champion Montoursville. St. Marys was able to keep the game close until the final inning when Montoursville added a few more runs for insurance to claim a 5-1 victory.
The loss drops St. Marys into the loser's bracket of the double elimination tournament. They will be back in action today at 4 p.m. as they take on Section 7 champion Kennett Square, who defeated Northwest on Thursday evening, eliminating them from the tournament.
