Sanderson enjoys hobby as WWII reenactor

March 7, 2014

Photo by Becky Polaski – St. Marys Area High School sophomore Mitchell Sanderson is a World War II reenactor, taking on the persona of a medic with Pennsylvania's 28th Infantry Division. Sanderson had much of the attire and supplies associated with his medic persona on display during Foreign Language Day at St. Marys Area High School last week.

Complete with his helmet, supplies, and U.S. Army attire, Mitchell Sanderson looks every bit the part of a World War II medic from Pennsylvania's 28th Infantry Division.
A sophomore at St. Marys Area High School and a member of the school's German Club, Sanderson is a World War II reenactor whose interest in the hobby was sparked several years ago as he began attending reenactments in which his father was participating.
