Rose M. Wolf

Rose M. Wolf, 89, formerly of 36 Powers Ave., Johnsonburg, died March 6, 2014 at Elk Haven Nursing Home in St. Marys following a brief illness.
She was born on Jan. 4, 1925 in Johnsonburg, daughter of John and Theresa Manno Calla. On Sept. 10, 1960, she married Norbert G. Wolf, who preceded her in death on March 20, 2001.
Rose resided in Johnsonburg all her life and graduated from Johnsonburg High School in 1943. She was a member of Holy Rosary Church and Johnsonburg Senior Center. She loved entertaining, cooking and being a homemaker. She worked for Stackpole Carbon Co. for 35 years.
She is survived by a step-daughter, Barbara Wolf of Erie; a brother, John Calla and his wife Pauline of Johnsonburg; a sister, Dolores, Mrs. Jack Carroll of Andover, Mass., and Stella, Mrs. Chester Maddalena of Ridgway; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Fred, Bruno, Louis and Frank Calla; and five sisters, Fannie Calla, Ruty Cherry, Madge Casciani, Jennie Calla and Angeline Sidoni.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Rose M. Wolf will be conducted at Holy Rosary Church in Johnsonburg on Monday, March 10 at 10 a.m. with Rev. David J. Wilson, Pastor officiating.
Friends will be received at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home at 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg on Sunday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Interment will be at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Johnsonburg
