Ridgway man charged in statutory sexual assault

RIDGWAY– Felony charges of statutory sexual assault and corruption of minors have been filed against a Ridgway man for an alleged sexual assault on a known female, 13.
On May 1, the teenager's mother brought her daughter into the Ridgway Police Department to report that Theodore Michael Carlson, 18, of 133 VanBuren Ave., Ridgway, allegedly had sexual intercourse with her daughter. The girl reportedly said that she knew Carlson well and that the two had dated approximately two years ago.
The incident is reported to have occurred on April 25 at the home of Ken and Emily Walser, where Carlson was staying as he was not allowed at his parents' house.
