Ridgway Borough Council advertises 2014 budget

Ridgway Borough Council on Friday afternoon voted to advertise their 2014 budget proposal which features no tax hike.
A complete copy of the entire proposed 2014 budget is available for public inspection at the borough office under normal business hours.
"We reallocated some salaries to fit the jobs that they're doing, and we looked line item by line item, went down to be sure everyone was in their correct categories," said Mary Lynn Fiedler, finance director for the borough as she discussed ways officials were able to hold the line. "We took the leaf collection and moved it over to the refuse department where it belongs, that way we did not have to have about $20,000 worth of expenses in the general fund.
