Local property owners residing in the Taft Road area had the opportunity to pose questions about upcoming seismic testing taking place within a 150-square-mile area of a portion of St. Marys.
Seneca Resources hosted a public meeting on Tuesday evening at the Red Fern where representatives explained the testing process.
Currently surveying is taking place with testing starting in the North Fork area.
The cost of the testing is $10 million and is expected to be completed by September.
Seismic testing is the first step in acquiring data to determine potential drilling locations. Seneca will compile a drilling plan using the data obtained during the testing.
