Vietnam veteran Ron Schloder (U.S. Marine Corps, 1st Reconnaissance, 1966-1969) is pictured with his grandson, Ethan Ott. Schloder, along with other area veterans, spoke about his military service to students at St. Boniface School on “Nation Day” held recently during Catholic Schools Week.
He hadn’t planned on sharing details about his military service, but Emporium resident and veteran Ron Schloder somehow found himself in front of the students at St. Boniface School recently during "Nation Day" to talk about an experience that is never far from his conscious thought.
