Randall N. "Randy" Bauer

Randall N. "Randy" Bauer, 41, recently of Greenville, S.C., and formerly of St. Marys, died Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013 following a short illness.
He was born Jan. 7, 1972 in St. Marys, a son of Dennis N. and Joyce Nekuza Bauer, of St. Marys.
Randy was born and raised in St. Marys and was a graduate of SMAHS, class of 1990. He then graduated from Penn State with his bachelor's degree and then an MBA. He had been a member of St. Mary's Church and was recently employed as a manager with Michelin Tires in Greenville, S.C. He was an avid Penn State fan and was also a big fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates and Penguins. He also had a great love for the Boston Celtics. Randy enjoyed playing basketball and was always the life of the party, lighting up any room he entered. He will be remembered for his fun, playful ways and his magnetic personality. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a friend to all who will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Dennis and Joyce Nekuza Bauer, he is survived by three sisters, Annette Polaski, Lisa (Doug) Schneider, and Amy Bauer, all of St. Marys; three brothers, Doug Bauer Sr. and his fiance Patty Krivonyak of St. Marys, Scott (Terry Frederoski) Bauer of Johnsonburg, David (Trish Gerg) Bauer of St. Marys; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, an aunt, Margaret "Peg" Swanson; an uncle, Bill Mills; and by a cousin, John Swanson Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Randall N. "Randy" Bauer will be celebrated at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Church Street, St. Marys, on Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Thomas More Sikora, O.S.B., as celebrant.
Burial will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home, 151 N. Michael St., St. Marys on Monday evening from 5-8 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Church Memorial Fund, the Margaret Swanson Memorial Fund or to the Penn State Alumni Association.
