"If there be a rainbow in the eve, it will rain and leave; but if there be a rainbow in the morrow It will neither lend nor borrow."
One positive result of the recent rainy weather has been the sighting of numerous rainbows.
The optical and meteorological phenomenas are caused by the reflection of light in water droplets resulting in a multicolor spectrum of light. One of the most picturesque spectacles in nature, rainbows have inspired countless legends, songs and fairy tales.
