Phyllis F. Bauer

Phyllis F. Bauer, 80, a resident at Ridgmont Assisted Living, Ridgway, and formerly of 126 Penn Rd., St. Marys, died on Thursday morning, March 8, 2012 at DuBois Regional Medical Center.
She was born Aug. 30, 1931 in St. Marys, a daughter of the late Marion and Leona Fritz Ford.
On June 21, 1952 in St. Mary's Church, she married the late Clarence "Lefty" Bauer, who preceded her in death on Sept. 22, 2009.
Mrs. Bauer was a member of St. Mary's Church and had also been an active member of the Elk County Republican Party. She enjoyed poetry, crossword puzzles and watching old movies. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by three daughters, Wanda, Mrs. Robert Gabler, of Camp Hill, Elinor "Nora" Bachelder of Maryland, and Rebecca "Becky," Mrs. David Towne, of Ridgway; a son, Daryl "D.J." Bauer of New Hampshire; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Aurelia, Mrs. Laddie Cochrane of North Carolina; and a brother, Marion "Sonny" Ford and his wife Penny of Florida. 
A Mass of Christian Burial for Phyllis F. Bauer will be celebrated at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Church Street, St. Marys, on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Frank Black as celebrant.
Burial will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home, 151 N. Michael St., St. Marys, on Friday evening from 5-8 p.m.
