PennDOT places life-size elk cutouts

Photo by Joseph Bell Recently, PennDOT officials placed two life-size elk cutouts on the PennDOT property in Ridgway in order to show just how big these animals really are.

RIDGWAY – Traffic accidents involving elk pose a real danger to area residents. Although many think of the elk as an elusive animal, they frequent the roadways, particularly in autumn which is their breeding season.
Recently, PennDOT officials placed two life-size elk cutouts on the PennDOT property in Ridgway in order to show just how big these animals really are.
