New council takes office

New members of St. Marys City Council along with the new mayor were sworn into their elected positions on Monday evening.
Elk County President Judge Richard Masson led Mayor Bob Howard in the oath of office as he was joined by his wife Peggy and grandson, Carter, age 8.
Next to take their oath was a group of newly elected council members including Lou Radkowski and Robert Mohr for four-year terms, Sally Geyer for a two-year term, along with re-elected council members Ned Jacob, Gary Anderson and Greg Gebauer.
