Nativity scene returns to courthouse

December 19, 2013

On Monday afternoon, the office of President Judge Richard A. Masson removed a Nativity scene located under the Christmas tree outside the sheriff's office inside the Elk County Courthouse.
According to Masson, the removal was a "precursory" measure in order to avoid complaints stemming from religious symbolism being displayed in a government building.
