A multi-year sewer line replacement and road improvement project was accepted by St. Marys City Council to submit for funding for the city's annual Community Block Development Grant (CDBG) Entitlement Program.
The city was notified on Aug. 6 their entitlement could be as much as $300,000. Earmarked in the funding is $54,000 or 18 percent of the grant for administration costs. This leaves $246,000 for project use.
On Monday evening, council approved the application for the project prepared by Tina Gradizzi, Community and Economic Development Coordinator and CDBG grant administration.
The proposed projects are for Charles Street, a multi-year project taking place from 2013-2015.
