Months of investigation pay off

RIDGWAY – At approximately 10 a.m. on July 17, Ridgway Borough Police executed a search warrant at 312 Chestnut St., Ridgway, the residence of Rachel Shrefler and Tammy J. Zawatski.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, the North Central Regional Drug Task Force had accumulated substantial information about the sale and distribution of A-PVP (bath salts) at the above address.
During the execution of the search warrant, police seized over $54,000 in cash, over 80 grams of bath salts with a street value of over $17,000, numerous items of drug paraphernalia and electronic devices which Rachel Shrefler reportedly stated were used to order bath salts from China.
