Marie K. Hoffman

Marie K. Hoffman, 94, a resident of Elk Haven and formerly of 120 East Arch St., St. Marys, died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013 at the Elk Haven Nursing Home after an illness of the past several months.
She was born June 26, 1919 in St. Marys, daughter of the late John and Margaret Koerber Pfeufer. On Oct. 7, 1939, in the St. Mary's Church, she married Joseph G. Hoffman, who preceded her in death on Feb. 21, 2003.
Mrs. Hoffman was a member of the St. Mary's Church, the Altar Society, was a volunteer at the St. Mary's Parochial School cafeteria for many years and had volunteered at the Christian Food Bank. She was a lifelong resident of the area and attended St. Mary's Parochial Schools.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary Anthony and her husband Jan of St. Marys; four sons, Robert R. Hoffman and his wife Judy of Kersey, James W. Hoffman and his wife Kathy of St. Marys, Thomas J. Hoffman and his wife Kathy of St. Marys, and William G. Hoffman and his wife Ann Marie of Alexandria, Va; 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Ann Wingenbach, Eleanora Olson, and a sister in infancy; and by five brothers, Alphonse Pfeufer, Anthony Pfeufer, John Pfeufer, and a brother in infancy. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Marie K. Hoffman will be celebrated in the St. Mary's Church on Friday, Nov. 15 at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Thomas More Sikora, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary's Cemetery.
Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Thursday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
