Loggers key to revitalization of Natl. Forests, U.S.F.S. Chief says

Tidwell was keynote speaker at the Allegheny Hardwood Utilization Group's annual membership meeting at the Red Ferm in St. Marys Friday where he called for greater involvement of the logging industry in the restoration of national forests like the Allegheny, which covers approximately 517,000 acres in Elk, Forest, McKean and Warren counties.

ST. MARYS – In his first time visiting the Allegheny National Forest on Friday, United States Forest Service Chief Timothy L. Tidwell said it served as a reminder of what can be achieved through good forest management, something he has devoted his life's work to doing.
