Local luncheon to benefit Children's Hospital

Photo submitted The 'An Afternoon of Smiles' event, set for Saturday, will include a fashion show, luncheon, silent auction and local vendors benefitting children suffering from cleft and craniofacial anomalies.

In an effort to assist families with children suffering from cleft and craniofacial anomalies, proceeds from the 'An Afternoon of Smiles' luncheon taking place Sunday, May 18 at The Red Fern will benefit the Adam's Smile Auxiliary of Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation.
In addition to a luncheon the event will feature a fashion show and silent auction from 11 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
"We are very excited about this year's function. We are hoping for a great turnout and a wonderful day spent with family, friends, and our community," said Amy Straub, event chairwoman.
Currently, Straub is the chairperson of the Adam's Smile Auxiliary, named after her son who was born with a cleft lip and palate. Adam, age 9, underwent multiple procedures at Children's Hospital to repair his lip.
