Local fallen hero remembered

Mary Parziale Bentz, of Washington, D.C. and formerly of Brockway, recently released a book with her husband Richard entitled "We Remember Them: A Biographical Supplement for Fatal Dive."
"We Remember Them" contains biographies of the crew of the World War II submarine the USS Grunion, which sunk near the Japanese-occupied Aleutian Island of Kiska on July 30, 1942.
Though the exact cause of the Grunion's demise remains unknown, it is believed that a confrontation occurred between the Grunion and a Japanese ship.
