Lady Crusaders open season with 44-10 win over Ridgway

The Lady Crusaders of Elk County Catholic opened the 2010-11 basketball season in fine fashion on Friday evening as they handed the Ridgway Lady Elkers a 44-10 setback in an AML game played at the Aaron J. Straub Gym on the Elk Catholic campus. The Lady Crusaders were in control of the ball game from start to finish, as they never trailed. "It is always nice to win the opener as you never know just how your team will have the open game jitters," said ECCHS Coach Ken Pistner. "This was a good game for us as we moved the ball well, rebounded pretty good and kept our turnovers to a minimum. Overall I was pleased with our performance tonight, but there are some areas that we will have to work to improve.""This game will go a long way in helping us improve our bench strength, as we were able to get playing time for all of our players tonight," added Pistner.
