Jean Marie Ryan

Jean Marie Ryan, 84, of 232 George St., St. Marys, died Tuesday morning, Dec. 28, 2010, at the Elk Haven Nursing Home after a brief illness.
She was born July 26, 1926, in Byrnedale, daughter of the late George and Kathryn McDaniel Hetrick.
On Feb. 4, 1950, in St. Joseph's Church in Force, she married Daniel G. "Moon" Ryan, who preceded her in death on Dec. 4, 2007.
She was a lifelong resident of the area and attended Weedville schools. She was a former employee of Speer Resistor and retired from GTE Sylvania in 1986 after 30 years of service.
Mrs. Ryan was a member of the Sacred Heart Church, volunteered for the Sacred Heart Social Committee, the Christian Food Bank, Meals on Wheels and was a member of the St. Anne's Society and the St. Marys Senior Center.
She is survived by three daughters, Cindy Burke and her husband Donald of Scranton, Karen Winklebauer and her husband Peter of St. Marys and Sharon Ryan of Rockville, Md.; a son, Daniel G. Ryan of New Market, Md.; six grandchildren, Kyle Ryan, Samantha Ryan, Logan Ryan, Sydney Ryan, Christina Cassidy and Katie Burke; two great-grandchildren, Julia Krupka and Victoria Burke; and a brother, George (Kayo) Ketrick and his wife Arlene of St. Marys.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Irene Blessel and Dorothy Lewis; and by a brother, Charles Hetrick.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Jean Marie Ryan will be celebrated in the Sacred Heart Church on Friday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Eric Vogt, OSB, as celebrant.
Burial will follow in the St. Mary's Cemetery.
Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m.
