Janice I. Rodgers Kalicky

Janice I. Rodgers Kalicky, 57 of Girard, died unexpectedly on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014 at her home of natural causes.
She was born on Oct. 21, 1956 in New Castle, a daughter of Donna J. Sickafuse Rodgers and the late J. Stewart Rodgers.
She graduated from Girard's Rice Avenue Union High School in 1974 and studied at Alliance College in Cambridge Springs, later receiving an Associate of Science Degree in Business at Erie Business Center. Janice began her career at Tru-Temper in Lake City, then was employed by the Girard Borough Office, Lockwood Dodge, Gary Miller Chevrolet, and most recently worked in Accounts Payable at PHB Machining and Molding.
She was a member of the Girard Yellowjackets Sports and Band Boosters and was a charter member of "OHA."
Janice loved being a mother and enjoyed attending all her children's events and spending time poolside with her family.
In addition to her father she was preceded in death by two sisters-in-law, Lilly Jones and Eileen White.
She is survived by her mother, Donna J. Rodgers; her devoted husband, Julius C. Kalicky, whom she married on June 21, 1980; her son, Jake C. Kalicky, all of Girard; her daughter, Jenna C. Kalicky of St. Marys; a sister, Kathy A. Bible (Ed) of E. Springfield; a brother, Jim Rodgers (Jaci) of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Mary Kathryn Kalicky of Girard; a brother-in-law, John Kalicky (Lorrie) of Cranesville; a sister-in-law, Diane Eddy (Jim) of North East ;and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call on Thursday, Feb. 27 from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Edder Funeral Home, Inc., 309 Main St. East, Girard. Service will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at the Girard Alliance Church, 229 Rice Ave., Girard with Rev. Clyde Davis officiating.
