Jane A. Barber

Jane A. Barber, 66, of 7676 Glen Hazel Road, Rasselas, died on the evening of Saturday, June 8, 2013 at her residence following a lengthy illness.
She was born on June 25, 1946 in Rasselas, daughter of John "Jack" and Carmella M. Allegretto Sample.
On Feb. 25, 1968 in St. Anne's Church in Wilcox she married David C. Barber, who survives.
Mrs. Barber resided in the Rasselas/Wilcox area all her life and graduated from Johnsonburg High School in 1965. She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in St. Marys. She had been employed by Windfall Specialty for several years.
In addition to her husband at home she is survived by two sons, Richard Barber and his wife Angela of Johnsonburg, David A. Barber of Wilcox and one daughter, Deborah Leitzel of DuBois; five grandchildren, Jeff, Tara and Whitney Barber, Thane Barber and Chealyn Leitzel; three brothers, Harry "Buck" Sample of Wilcox, James H. Sample and his wife Georganne of Smethport and Joseph Sample and his wife Kathleen "Kathy" of Hickory, N.C.; and five sisters, Jean "Norma" Swanson of Rasselas, Julie, Mrs. Timothy Valentine of St. Marys, Joyce, Mrs. Jim Smart of Clyde, N.C., Joanne, Mrs. David Andrus of Howard Siding, and Leone Sigworth of West Middlesex; along with many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; sisters June Sample, Janet Howard, Betty Allegretto, Gertrude Northrop, Margaret Almira Smith and Mary Ann Stearns; and a brother, Jeffrey A. Sample on March 18, 2013.
A Funeral Service for Jane A. Barber will be conducted at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home on Tuesday evening at 8 p.m. Officiating will be Rev. Brad Brunner of Faith Baptist Church in St. Marys.
Interment will be at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Rasselas.
Friends will be received at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut Street Johnsonburg on Tuesday evening from 6 p.m. with the service time at 8 p.m.
