Helen F. "Honey" (Azzato) Allegretto

Helen F. "Honey" (Azzato) Allegretto, 81, of Redwood Street, Weedville, died on Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013 at Christ the King Manor after a lengthy illness.
She was born Feb. 10, 1932 in Weedville, daughter of the late John and Louise (Crocco) Azzato.
On July 4, 1953 she married Richard James Allegretto and he preceded her in death on June 28, 2010.
She lived most of her life in Weedville and was a graduate of Weedville High School, Class of 1950. She was a past employee of Stackpole Carbon and a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, B.V. Legion Auxiliary, Bennetts Valley Senior Center, an avid bingo player, loved sports and played basketball in high school, and enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by three sons, Guy J. and his wife Gina Allegretto of Weedville, Scott L. and his wife Melanie Allegretto of St. Marys, and James P. and his wife Barbara of Force; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Kim (Darlene) Allegretto of Bellefonte; six grandchildren, Matthew, Kelly, LeeAnn, Maria, Rachel, and Sam; two great-grandchildren, Rylan and Gianna; a brother, Frank and his wife Barbara Azzato of Weedville; and three sisters, Gloria "Todd" Mulcahy of Florida, Margaret "Magee" Azzato of St. Marys, and Mary "Dode" Azzato of St. Marys.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Kim R. Allegretto; two sisters, Natalie "Wink" Friedl and Rose Addeo; and three brothers, Joseph, Ray, and an infant.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Helen F. "Honey" (Azzato) Allegretto will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Force with Father Thomas Tyler as celebrant.
Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Force.
Visitation will be held at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home in Penfield on Friday, Oct. 4 from 5-8 p.m. and on Saturday, Oct. 5 from 8:30-9:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to St. Joseph Church or Christ the King Manor.
