KERSEY – Work continued over the weekend as members of Midway Utica, N.Y. moved their amusement rides in preparation for this week's Elk County Fair.
While patrons will later this week embark on the fairgrounds in Kersey, organizers said work for this year's fair began just a little while after last year's event ended.
"We've been doing our hoagie fundraisers, they do very well, and we've had flea market craft shows that do fairly decent," said Jamie Wolfe, grounds manager. "We have a sign program as well where you pay money to have a sign on the fence at the grounds."
