Anchors Away Owner Christa Wright of Kersey along with the assistance of her husband Scott, said it was her family's love of seafood which inspired her to open the new store which offers shellfish, fresh fish and frozen specialities.
Fast forward one year later and Wright's dream has become a reality.
"It's been nice meeting new people. Everyone that comes in has a different story on why they stopped by and what seafood is their favorite," Wright said.
Wright planned to open at the beginning of Lent, however the opening was delayed due to inclement weather along the east coast which hindered shipments.
The market officially opened in early March and is located at 930 Million Dollar Highway, next to the Kwik Fill gas station. The hours of business are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
