Fox Township celebrates Light Up Night

November 30, 2012

Fox Township celebrated their annual Light Up Night festivities on Friday evening. A large crowd greeted Santa and Mrs. Claus, who made their appearance on a holiday float on which they were perched atop a bulldozer pushing a larger-than-life-size snowball. Joining Santa on the float were the Grinch and his friend Cindy Lou Who, along with several local children posing with gifts among numerous miniature Christmas trees. Santa's float was escorted into the park by a Fox Twp. fire truck and was followed by a U.S. Army tow truck complete with patriotic holiday decorations. After greeting those standing in line, Santa and Mrs. Claus visited with youngsters who each received a gift and other treats. Christmas cookies and hot cocoa were also provided to Light Up Night visitors.
