FOX TWP. – Eighteen months of preparation culminated Friday evening as Fox Township kicked off its Bicentennial Celebration. An opening ceremony was held at 7 p.m. at the Fox Twp. Community Park followed by a fireworks display.
The ceremony began with the singing of the National Anthem by Brianna Pontzer, a Fox Twp. resident. This was followed by Ernie Mattiuz of the Elk County Farm Bureau, sharing information on some of the contents uncovered in a time capsule buried at The Toby Grange in 1976.
