Florence A. "Flossie" Donachy

Florence A. "Flossie" Donachy, 82, of 217 Martin Rd., St. Marys, died on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013 following injuries sustained in an automobile accident in McKean County.
She was born Feb. 1, 1931 in St. Marys, a daughter of the late Charles and Marian Feidler Ott.
On July 15, 1950 in St. Mary's Church, she married the late Robert W. "Schultz" Donachy, who preceded her in death on Dec. 1, 2009.
She was a lifelong resident of the area and a member of Queen of the World Church. She worked at the Peacock and at the Bavarian for many years. She enjoyed cooking, going to bingo and playing her weekly puzzles. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her grandson Nathan, whom she adored.
She is survived by a son, Bob Donachy and his wife Maria of St. Marys; a daughter, Sharon, Mrs. Phil Schlosser of St. Marys; a grandson, Nathan Schlosser; a brother, Edward Ott of St. Marys; a sister, Mary Jane Zimmett of St. Marys; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters; Gertrude Wilson, Bertha Glatt, Evelyn Cuneo and Gracie Ott in infancy. She was joined in death by her niece, Elaine Cuneo Beimel; her nephew-in-law, Gary Beimel; and her nephew, David Cuneo.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Florence A. "Flossie" Donachy will be celebrated at the Elk County Catholic High School, 600 Maurus St., St. Marys, on Saturday, Sept. 7, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Thomas More Sikora, O.S.B., Pastor of St. Mary's Church and the Rev. Richard Allen, Pastor of Queen of the World, concelebrants.
Burial will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Elk County Catholic High School, 600 Maurus St., St. Marys, on Friday evening from 6-9 p.m.
