Flags placed on veterans' graves Wednesday evening

Photo by Becky Polaski The St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery took on a patriotic appearance on Wednesday evening as volunteers placed American flags on veterans' graves ahead of Memorial Day weekend.

By the time Tom Price, Sergeant in Charge of the St. Marys Servicemen's Burial Detail, arrived at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery just before 6 p.m. on Wednesday evening, a number of volunteers were already waiting to help place around 2,000 American flags on veterans' graves throughout the cemetery ahead of Memorial Day weekend.
