QUEHANNA – When Randy Caldwell's friends first called him to tell him he had been drawn for a bull elk license in this year's weeklong elk hunt he thought they were playing a practical joke on him.
The Export native recalled that he was in disbelief at first after friends told him they saw in the paper that his name had been drawn.
"But when I got about 17 calls that day I figured they must have been right," he said. "It took me a week and a half to get the official word from the game commission."
